I have had mine for about a month and wish I would have gotten one a long time ago. I am not very good with technology and this is so easy to use. Great picture and sound. Smooth streaming

Streaming stops too much

Have owned this for over a year. Easy to use. The biggest problem is screaming stops quite often in the middle of programs. Then it takes way too long to start up again unless you go back one scene and start screaming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works well

The Roku player works well for the most part. My only problem is with my VUDU account on Roku; it does not display my movie collection in the "My movies" tab. I tried deleting the VUDU channel and unplugging the Roku player and reinstalling the channel back on Roku, per the technician's advice, however, it still does not work. I can only view my VUDU movies if I do a search for a movie I own and once it comes up I can then play it. Other channels work fine. So for the most part Roku is a good device.

We have been streaming on our laptops and trying to huddle around the screen because we still have old TV technology. As long as our old TV still works, we will keep it. So, this device enables us to stream to our TV, and the price was more than reasonable. Easy to set up, and it works great. Note: It is much easier to set up your queues for different channels on your pc or tablet, then all you have to do is pull up your queue to watch your shows. My only complaint is that I can't watch certain current network episodes, such as NCIS, but I blame that on CBS.

works well but some things I don't like

I bought the new Roku 2 recently and there are a few things I don't like. First the constant wifi broadcast from the unit itself. Why is this needed? Other than for the remote I would guess? Why was the remote changed from a regular IR remote, to I guess this wifi version or bluetooth?? I don't know how this new remote communicates but I would guess one of those two. My old Roku 2xd stays cold to the touch but this new Roku 2 stays very warm constantly meaning it is probably using more power all the time. Other than those things it streams well and has no problems there. I just don't like the new remote, heat coming off the unit itself and the constant wifi broadcast from the Roku.

Roku 2 Review

I do like the Roku 2 and it is quite easy to use. Wish I could sign up online and not do it on the Roku keyboard. It just seems like such a hassel. I also love the fact that you have more choices to choose from. And you can add your own channels and have Netflix and Blockbuster at your fingertips is terrific. I wish Roku could connect with the Rabbit t.v., that would be awesome.
