A good product but does have flaws. Connection/buffering problems... could be the internet however, when using apps (netflix/hulu) through xbox 360 I don't have these issues. Apps on Xbox also offers more options than Roku including easier searches (incl. searching for movies using specific actors names, etc), and each family member can have a different account to save their "must see" movies. Roku searching is horrendous unless you connect your ipad and use that for searching youtube, netflix etc. Roku is also small (size of palm) and concealable but runs hot, is always on, and after a year of use it seems to be breaking down.

Convenient but one problem

Really convenient product to watch Netflix on TV, and really fast to use. The only problem with the Roku 2 is that whenever text appears onscreen it is subtitled in Spanish and there is no way to turn it off. I've looked online and it seems this is a persistent problem with the Roku 2 model. It's really a shame they can't fix this. Only happens with text, not audio, very annoying.

It is more than I expected of a streaming media device. The only tiny thing is that the device heats too fast and has to be careful on where I place it, and the Vudu channel does not work. Everything else is very good, You will be surprise how many shows and movies you can watch, old and new. Definitely it is better that having cable. I recommend it.

Received mine as a Christmas gift and thought ok. Have learned to love it by catching up on shows I have never been able to watch. It is so simple to operate, even I don't have any problems.

We have only had the Roku for a short period of time but have enjoyed it so much we purchased a sound bar for further enjoyment. Making movies and excellent series available this way is the only way to have full enjoyment of your entertainment. Being retired it has brought us additional enjoyment.

Love the Roku!

My son gave me the Roku for Christmas gift. Totally surprised. Have been extremely happy with it and it is just so easy to use. Had a similar product that I purchased last year that I never could get to work correctly and Roku was so easy to set up and use.

The first Roku we purchased stopped working after 24 hours. Then we were given a Roku for Christmas and it worked for nearly one month before it would not connect.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
