Not user friendly!

We got this as a gift for my mother in law, and even to set up it was a hassle! We couldn't return it because we couldn't find the reciept. If you have a tablet or smart phone stick with Chrome Cast. It's cheaper, takes about a minute to set up and so easy to use, you literally just hit the stream button
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the variety!

We were given this as a Christmas gift and love it. So far I've been catching up on old TV shows I've missed, YouTube videos, and also spend a lot of time listening to music on the Rdio channel while working around the house. The only thing I don't like is the fact that you're told you can view channels like ESPN and History channel, and many others, but when trying to, you're then told you can do so only if they're a part of your cable package. If that was the case, I wouldn't need Roku so why make it look like we can? There are a few shows from those channels that are somehow "archived" to Roku access but that's it. Other than that, we love it!

Roku2…bought 1 then 2 then a 3rd for my neighbor!!! Far from the big city we get almost no reception here! Now life is great and tons of things to choose from! My neighbor is elderly and now watches MIT programs and watches classroom sessions in college. He's vibrant and beaming now! LOVE MY ROKU 2'S

Simply Perfect

I bought one Roku 1 in October and by December I had two more of those and a Roku 2. They are the perfect media device -- a gateway to thousands of entertaining shows. The Roku 2 is particularly great because the wifi remote allows you to hide the Roku receiver behind a wall-mounted TV.
Can't recommend this enough.
