fantastic when it works...

Purchased a Roku 2 (about three months ago) to upgrade from an older Roku. Things seemed just fine for the first few days right up until the unit seemed to freeze? Was also very hot. Unplugged and let cool down, And again same "over heat" issue. elevated unit to get more air flow with no change. Have resorted to using old Roku because it is reliable. Purchase Apple TV last week and is working fine. Have Boxed up Roku and placed on shelf.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Was given Roku for a Christmas present. We have enjoyed looking to at the different selections and watching a variety of programming. Some we have seen before and some are new to us.

Absolutley the greatest addtion to our Tv ever

We have rid ourselves of cable and went straight to Roku and hi-speed internet alone; I have 4 boys ages 10-15 and they are completely content with our Netflix and everything else Roku can do AND with the remote ear jack I can enjoy my big Tv without waking everybody in the house because I work nights. DON'T HESITATE AND JUST GET ONE!!!

I purchased this after searching reviews of all streaming devices. I love Its sleek design, shape and finish. Setting it up was a breeze with no complications, and it works great!

Better than cable TV!

I now own two roku devices having replaced cable TV . We enjoy the DVR quality of the device and ability to see streamed video from the web in 1080i !

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

This is my second unit. I bought it so I could watch my programs in another room so my wife could sleep peacefully without being bothered by the noise from my program choices. Boy was I surprised to learn that this new model's remote had a place to plug in ear buds - problem solved! I love ROKU and have recommended it to all my friends. They have a hard time understanding what it is that it provides, but once they have one, they cannot thank me enough. We end up recommending programing to each other. Roku is just too good to be true!

Who needs a smart tv that will be out of date in a year! The Roku was cheap and does exactly what it says it will do. No problems.
