I bought this unit a few months ago and am disappointed with it.
I have to subscribe to Netfles or Amazon to see what's available.
They charge for subscription to the system and again charge you for the features I want to see.

Has Potential!

I have had my Roku for a couple of months now and love not paying an inflated cable bill for the same shows over and over. The Roku seems to work well when it works. Seems that the internal construction of the product is flimsy and my first one shorts out after having it a week. it works ok but only if you don't move it at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this after getting frustrated with my smart blu ray player dropping the wifi signal. The Roku has never dropped the wifi signal, and I didn't have to purchase any additional wifi equipment to make it work.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice but no cigar

Honestly, three weeks later I bought a Chromecast and am much happier with it. With that I'm able to see whatever is on one of my computer browser's tabs on the TV screen. Very easy to use and no remote needed. The Roku was nice but the Chromecast much better.

We received a Roku 2 as a gift from our daughter. We love it....easy to use..we highly recommend ....buy 1 for yourself and 1 as a gift...well worth the purchase....bye bye Cable and Dish...

I was so happy with my Roku 2 that I bought a second one. I was using it so much that I got tired of moving my first one from TV to TV so I bought the second one. I love all the channels that I can watch.

Perfect way to help 'Cut the Cord'

I've been using my Roku for about a year now and have purchased them for family members this past Christmas. There are plenty of apps available that provide me with the content that I want. I'm a huge movie / tv fan and there are plenty of options available for streaming that content to the device. The ease of use helped me in my decision to get it for my parents and sister since they aren't to savvy when it comes to new technology. All in all if your heading down the road to ditching cable this is a great start that will help cover a lot of your wants and needs.
