Easy to install and awesome shows to watch

I was given this for a Christmas Gide and have using it frequently. I love it, it was easy to install and easy to use.

Great features but no Netflix Profiles interface

Bought this highly rated device for my 5 year old Grandson this past Christmas. Would not buy again. The device works perfectly, but, the only service my Grandson uses it for is Netflix. He was used to using the Netflix with a Netflix for Kids profile on another major brand device (WD TV Live Media player) in another room in the house and we wanted to allow him to do this in his bedroom also. The Roku 2 had the wifi connectivity we needed, had access to Netflix and was highly rated. But what I didn't realize at the time was that Netflix has different interfaces, Netflix normal and Netflix Profiles. Since he is only 5 he was setup with a kids profile on the WD device. It shows him a great variety of kid friendly material and he can choose what he wants. A device without the Kids Profile just shows what movies are added to the primary account holder. A real pain in our case. Buyer beware. This is a wonderful device, but if you plan on watching Netflix and prefer the Netflix profiles interface, this model doesn't have it. You have to buy a more expensive one for that and for the more expensive price you might as well get a WD Media player and also have the ability to play lots of video files by plugging in a hard drive to its USB port.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No more Cable!!!

I purchased my Roku about a month ago and have not watch cable since but my Roku. I love that it had so many channels to choose. Just love my Roku ❤️

Works like magic

This was Christmas present from my son. I could only get PBS on my T.V. No outdoor antennae and not willing to pay exorbitant cable costs for channels I don't want. With Roku, I can watch what I choose when I choose. Very reasonable initial cost and many free and inexpensive choices to watch.

I bought one of these nearly a year ago and liked it so much, purchased another one for TV in bedroom. When you consider the cost of a new smart TV, a Roku makes a lot of sense.
