I like it...

I wanted a device that would enable to stream Netflix and Amazon onto my TV. My Roku 2 does that just fine. It was very easy to set up (I am old and not technical at all) and it is easy to navigate around the menu.
My complaints are not really the fault of the Roku. I cannot use my surround sound system with it, and my television's sound is very poor. I can use the headphone jack in the remote when alone, but not good when someone else is also watching. The picture also does not fill the whole screen, but is in a shadow box.
These things are probably as a result of the age of my other components (6 years) and it would be better on a newer tv.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My husband got me the Roku for Christmas and it is the best gift I have ever gotten.I can watch what ever I want and I love that I can listen to it with headphones through the remote.

Like the headset but ....

I like the ability to have a headset attach to the remote if it worked all the time. It freezes up the Roku. The fix is to take out the batteries and put them back in. I Googled the problem and there were numerous reports of the problem. Wish it was a true fix.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great escape from cable tv

I haven't had my Ruku for very long but have enjoyed watching some movies on Netflix. The quality of the picture is good and the selection of programs on Netflix and Roku's own programing is amazing.

Said Good Bye to Cable!

When our cable bill topped out at over two hundred a month - and offered no good viewing shows - we had enough. We purchased the Roku and cancelled our cable. We have access to all our favorite shows and movies via Netflix, Hulu etc. There are a ton of free channel options. We couldn't be happier. Our only regret is that we didn't do it sooner.

Already familiar with brand device. Easy to use and can be moved from set to set but now I have one for my bedroom tv and my living room as well.

Love Roku 2!

We received the Roku 2 as a Christmas gift. Having never had a media streaming device, we were so surprised with all the features and applications available. We especially enjoy Pandora and the wide variety of music.
