Should have bought this years ago!

I have had my Roku 2 for about a month and love it. It is used on my 12 year old 46 inch TV that does not have the HDMI input. I also bought a Roku 3 (the stick) for my bedroom TV. I really don't see any difference in the performance of either one-both are great. I used to watch Netflix on my PC and it was ok but it is so much better to watch on the big TV. I could kick myself for not buying a Roku sooner. It is quite easy to install and operate.

The Roku 2 is a good buy with great features

I am thrilled by the tv access the Roku gives me. The number of channel options is awesome. My only wish would be for more access to live sports programming. However I have not been able to get color with the UF connections on the TVs I had available. I eventually had to get the HDMI cable for a television set that was loaned to me.

Before buying the Ruko Brand, I researched and compared brands. They all are great products; each providing individual services. I went with Roku because it meet my needs best. So far, my expectations have been met and then some. I'm very happy with my choice.

Problem?

I bought this just one month ago and had to replace it today. For some reason, it started heating up and shutting off, for no apparent reason. It sits alone, with nothing on top of it or under it (except a wooden shelf), and I can't find an explanation for the problem. I've replaced it with exactly the same thing, so we'll see what happens next.

Roku 2 now refuses to load Amazon videos

We had a Roku 2 for a while and was happy with it till now. Lately however, it had problem in loading Amazon prime movies. It was either stuck for ever with loading the movie, or stopped during the movie play and complained about no internet connection. But it shows healthy WiFi strength. And our internet has been normal as the other Roku stick and a Sony BluRay player streamed the same movie without any problem. I reset the sick Roku 2 to its factory setting and reconnected it to my Amazon prime account, but the problem was still there. We liked its headphone jack on the remote feature. Perhaps, its internal circuit lifetime is up? Anyone experienced the same issue and knew a way to fix it?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
