its been a couple of months since i bought the roku 2 and my family loves it. there is so much content on it that we all have some fun. easy to use. if you want value and fun times get roku you will love it

Convenient Way To Watch Older Movies Free

I bought a Roku 2 to connect to my older TV to watch free movies on my TV instead of on the computer which I had been doing. Works very well for that purpose. There are many "private" channels available as well but not so well publicized to add to your Roku lineup. The channels available are very numerous but many require a subscription fee or having an existing cable subscription and it's not always clears from the descriptions what's required before loading the channel to the Roku.

Good access, but difficult to use.

The Roku allows me to access Netflix and other channels. On Netflix, I can only access one list so another person can't see their choices. Searching for titles is clunky since there is not a keypad on the remote. I don't know if my issues are with Roku or Netflix, or maybe both.

Roku 2. Easy to use remote. Main menu is pretty intuitive. A word of warning. Roku will not support Netflix profiles with Roku 2, as they are trying to drive sales of their Roku 3. Most menus are ok but not great. Amazon, Netflix, Fox, ESPN. HBO GO is pretty. I originally bought this to hook up to an older tv so I purchased the Roku 2.

Better buffer than TiVo

We have changed from TiVo to the new Ruku 2 to watch most movies. Almost NO buffering on the Roku and beats the TiVo hands down. We love the Netflix with captions. Would really like the ability to 1. Delete certain channels 2. Love the ability to add custom/private channels. We like it some much we purchase a second for the guest bedroom. We are very satisfied with this purchase and device

Saving Money

I did buy this about a month ago and I'm saving money by not buying dvds. I don't have to go to the movies and I can just stay at home and watch movies in peace and quiet.
