Works great but not much is free

It is very difficult to find free programming. Too many older shows have to be purchased.

Faster, Stronger, Easier to use

Having owned the original from initial release, we were already Roku fans when it came time to upgrade. We compared it to 3 others, and while it has some competition with regard to price & features, we stuck with the proven winner.
More storage space and the finest GUI available are prime selling points, and the awesome new remote with a headphone jack is nice a bonus!
We also use a Chromecast, but that's more a toy by comparison.
Our original Roku has been passed to a grandchild for her room, and it still plays flawlessly.
Total value of a product goes beyond initial impression and use; Reliability over the life of usability is a big factor, and that's where Roku kills the competition.

I bought a Roku 2 and my wife loves it on her tv. Planning to buy a second unit for my tv and one as a gift for my sister.

Can't Get Video Poker Developer to fix server!!

I bought this ROKU2 to replace my ROKU1 box because I couldnt post scores on Video Poker channel. Said server down. Finally found out thru post msg on Developer site that servers been down for months. Not very impressed with ROKU channels.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love my Roku. I am on SS and my dish just got to expensive for me. I live in a remote area. I am very impressed the streaming is constant, very little waiting for download. I was worried about it and where I live. I still watch some local stuff and soaps on my IPad. It is slower downloading on my iPad. I do recommend trying it. I have rented Hulu and Netflix, they help cover all I want!
