I am over working, from the UK and could not believe how expensive Cable is here, I found the Ruko box and did some research and bought one. I cancelled cable, now I have TV I choose rather than it being fed to me. With Cable I spent all my time trying to find something. Now with Ruko I decide what I want, go to the right channel and then play it, it is so convenient and much cheaper. I now have one in every room, I have control, if you are considering it, go for it, you can always cancel if you don't like it.

I've had my Roku 2 for several weeks and I am truly impressed with the ease of use and variety of programs available. I use it mainly for JW Broadcasting and Netflix but also enjoy YouTube and many other Free channels.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I received my Roku as a gift from my son! Simply love it. Great viewing of my favorite series I have missed. Great variety of movies of all types I want to view for the first time or some of my favorites I have watched numerous times! Love the Smithsonian access, also.

Something to watch

I bought this about 1 month ago because I'm doing a travel assignment & couldn't get satellite TV for a short term.
It is "something" to watch however doesn't allow me to watch anything current w/o paying continuously.
I have lots of problems with the stream freezing up on me & having to restart the program being viewed.

Bought it to watch Netflix on TV. Works great everytime. Easy set up. Easy to use. Easy to understand. Readily available to expand to other services!

We purchased the roku 2 because we want to drop cable. We have used it to watch Netflix and are pleased with the speed and accuracy of the films. Our old "smart" dvd player pixelated many of the films we watched and often we had to wait for it to catch up. The Roku has worked perfectly.

Affordable television shows and movies.

I like ROKU, I have used it for a couple of years now, having removed cable television ROKU is my primary source of entertainment and news. All sorts of channels are available. The remote has several buttons devoted to Netflix, Amazon, MGO, and Blockbuster. Although I do enjoy ROKU because it is affordable and easy to set up, I find it very slow logging in to movies, Netflix, weather channel. It isn't fast but it is dependable.
Because it could use a lot more speed and wants a credit card number to set up, I gave ROKU three stars mostly because of the credit card requirement. Your card is not charged unless you make a purchase from ROKU but the fact it sits in a company's database unused makes me extremely uncomfortable. The requirement of a credit card should be done away with.
