Works way better than anticipated

We bought this some time back, (6 months or so) & really like the streaming capability. In terms of the image & sound quality it's better than we thought it would be (we also use a TiVo Premier, that's our base reference).
Ease of use is terrific.
There are a couple of drawbacks that could be addressed. The first is the lack of a wired ethernet interface. Depending on WiFi in high density housing isn't always the best choice due to interference from other access points. Having a wired alternative would really help.
The second is the speed of access to things like Netflix could be better. It seems like it takes too long (yes, highly subjective, think impatient humans) to reload the interface which can happen from pressing the wrong button or having the interface hiccup and send you back to the catalog instead of the next in a series of videos.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This was a Christmas gift from my children and grandchildren. I did not set it up myself, one of them did. I doubt that I could have done it myself. I don't know how much it cost.

we have the roku for about 6 mouths now wee love it we are move players we don't wach tv much its a good thing thinking mit by one and put it in your bedroom love it

Volume Control for the box

There is no 'Volume Control' for the box, and the sound is too loud for the average TV settings! Beside that it is enjoyable.

BEAUTIFUL(when it works)

This is actually my second Roku box and as i said, when its working its amazing..Great HD picture and fast information retrieval. Good small footprint, intuitive remote and onscreen controls.
That said...This thing wont stay connected to my wifi....i have read all the forums and made every adjustment and cycled power to everything and moved the roku ALL over my house..Still it works maybe 3 days a week...the rest of the time it wont even find my wifi.
I even returned my first Roku2 just incase this was a defective box...nope, same problems. And im not alone judging from the forums.
I love my first Roku i got 3 yrs ago...THAT one still works just fine...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
