I got this to use with a very very old tv that only has component video connections so we could access the internet (netflix, Amazon prime, etc) on a wireless network. It works great and was easy to set up. Very reasonable price, and it does what I want.

I had been researching streaming devices for quite some time before I received my Roku 2 as a birthday gift; let me tell you, it was the answer to my prayers! It is extremely user friendly (including set up and navigating your channels), and I use it every single day. There are so many television, movie, and music channels to choose from; you'll have no problem finding channels that everybody in the house will love! I will most definitely be purchasing a second device for our other television!

We bought this last month so we could stream JW.ORG and it works perfect! So simple to use our three year old can pit on her favorite lesson.

Thinking this would be the perfect addition to home entertainment we purchased the package. Not only is it slow to load, when we watch a show it takes hours. It loads a little, then it freezes. It loads a little more, then it freezes. If we able to actually access the programming it would be awesome!

I bought this a few months ago and it's hit and miss as to whether or not it will connect to my wireless at a given moment or day. It can be playing a movie and decide the local network doesn't exist anymore. Or work great for two days then it won't connect at all for weeks when the laptop and iPad etc are connecting fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
