decent but has flaws

Remote has response lag. There is a brief pause between button press and actual action on screen. I use my remote 4' away from player and tv. Player is 12' away from router and nothing is blocking transmission and still get to many buffers. I recommend if distances are closer from router and player then mine are

I prefer to watch movies on Netfix without commercial interruptions. This is an easy way to do so.

I bought Roku to get rid of my cable, because their prices were getting higher and higher. There are many great free channels on Roku, many tv shows and movies. Many old tv shows and movies, some wierd, some really good and interesting.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had the Roku 2 for just over a month and am very pleased with it. The ability to view some T broadcasts in addition to Netflix makes it worth the price for me. I hope additional TV channels are added in the future to enable viewing more sitcoms from the 60's through 80's.

Not recommended for Netflix w/multiple users

The Roku 2 offers many channels and nice search/add feature and easy to use/understand interface. The ability to connect headphones to the remote is great.
Ability to hook up to older analog tv is a plus. In our house we have 4 Netflix users set-up with their favorites, but the Roku only loads the primary user. This leaves the others unable to see their favorites/history or recommendations. If you have multiple user on Netflix, I would not recommend it.
