Very convenient

I love my Roku. It is very easy to use and was easy to set up. The only problem I had was getting a good signal through the thick walls of my old house. After I moved my router, then the signal was excellent.

This player was much better than I imagined. It gives me options that I didnt even consider when buying it. My favorite being able to play things from my phone when used as a remote.

Got this Roku2 about a month ago, its amazing! I used my Sony bluray player prior to the Roku and now I can properly keep track of where I left off with all the shows I'm watching! I have copied every DVD and Bluray disc I have to mt computer and use PLEX through my Roku. Between Netflix and PLEX streaming movies from my computer, my nephews love the movies they can watch so instantly everytime they are over. If you are not tech savy, no worries. there are channels to add through Roku , News, Sports, and other 3rd party app creators. Highly easy to work, install , and enjoy daily. And at any age, even if you think you are too old to do it. It is easy to get someone to show you the basics then you will learn to explore from there.30mins of the basics and you will be well on your way to entertainment bliss...

This device had a lot of great features, but many of the channels that are labeled free are not. They require seperate subscriptions or to pay later(ie. NFL Now). Very misleading.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Player Overheats

I love my first generation Roku very much so I bought a Roku 2 for our extra TV. I like the headphones option for quiet viewing. However, the newer Roku 2 has a tendency to overheat and freeze. I think this condition might suggest that the newer player might not be as durable as the original model. I still think it is worth buying but Roku should solve this problem if they want customers like me to remain loyal.

Unhappy. Returned ROKU to store.

Problems with ROKU 2 within a couple days. Would not hold signal from wifi. Repeated crashes. Checked signal and eliminated all other possibilities. Still would not hold signal.
While returning ROKU 2 to electronics store we were told there was a known issue with crashes due to interference from remote signal.
Received refund. Bought Apple product.
