It Changed My Life

I got my Roku 2 hooked up at about the same time that Dish Network dropped Turner Classic Movies HD, the only reason I have satellite TV. I am switching to DirecTV, who still carries TCM. In the meantime, since we have had Roku, we find that we watch it 90% of the time. In fact, I am not that enthusiastic about the regular programming I tend to watch daily. I would rather watch Roku, YouTube, Netflix streaming, Warner Archives and a list of other available channels. When I get up in the morning I see that Roku log floating about the big screen; my husband has been up all night watching Roku-related programming. I have only had a few issues: batteries at first wore out quickly, but now everything is running just fine. I LOVE ROKU.

Great Streaming Device

Gives me access to all my entertainment needs. Many channels to choose from and new ones added weekly. This has almost replaced my Dish Network service. Love the fact that I can watch what I want, when I want and most time don't have to deal with ads and if there are ads they are short. The player itself has never let me down and is great quality and is a must for every family. We have a Roku's set-up throughout our house.

It has simple but easy use features. Unfortunately the remote does no longer work. It is out warranty but less than a year old. So I can't give it thumbs up give me Roku 1 it's still working.'

Doesn't replace cable

I had hoped to replace my U-verse connection. Not with Roku at this time. Little current programming available. Most offerings are movies, short "clips" or shows from past seasons. Does offer lots if specialty programming from small operations, some of which is quite good. This should only be considered as a supplement to your existing "cable" connection.

It's ok

I bought this to watch my shows on. It's not as updated as if like on netflix. And it takes a lot to buffer even when no ones using the internet. It refuses to show the right time and will not allow me to manually set it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
