I bought this Oct. 8,2014 with great hopes of TV after cable. If I didn't have Netflix , Hulu and local channels from an antenna I wouldn't have TV. There r lots of channels BUT they are always retrieving every few seconds so you can't watch anything. I love travel but those channels are always retrieving also the good shows cost so after adding that u may as well keep cable. For me it allows me to access Netflix and Hulu, that's about it. Also you're asked if the channel can share your email every time you try to access a channel.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Roku worth the money...but

Plays some web movie content on your tv but not all. Waiting for more participation by viable channels. Most channels not worth including because of poor content and many bothersome commercials. Do not want to use pay content as that's the reason I cut the cable in the first place. Roku has to come up with a way to stream all content. That process now is cumbersome or impossible to do.
I would recommend this to a friend!
