I love this Roku 2. It is a great little gadget, very small and very light ...very portable....which satisfies my needs... which is having streaming media where I can use Netflix or Hulu Plus or other free channels connected to my older "not flat screen" tv.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We have enjoyed watching movies and shows on our TV. Works great as long as our internet speed cooperates. Small and inexpensive. So pleased.

Not a perfect machine

This is my second Roku (the first being the red "Angry Birds" edition of a now-outdated model, now in my daughter's room for educational cartoons). I bought this one for the bedroom, and this particular model for the headphone jack and the A/V outputs.
I only gave this thing three stars because it gets very hot even in standby mode, and because of this, I doubt it will outlast my other Roku.
On top of that, I've had the machine lock up on me twice already and the remote disconnected from it once. There was also a weird glitch that kept the device from using the real-estate on my tv screen. The layout was zoomed-in and off-center, and when I had a movie or tv show selected, the text would display whatever was sitting NEXT to it (and it was THAT item that was actually selected).
I have an older CRT TV, but that's no excuse for the Roku 2 to act this way, as the 2 was DESIGNED for older TVs with A/V connections.
Somehow this glitch has automatically remedied itself, but was annoying.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Simple to use

Small device but a big value. So many channels to choose from. Wanted to use Netflix on my older plasma that was not a smart TV or with internet. This device just what I needed and more. Very simple setup...

I bought this a couple of months ago and I am so happy with it! If I wasn't in a contract with the cable company, I would cancel and just use the Roku. It is everything I wanted and more. It was easy to hook up and very easy to use.

I bought this product about two months ago....so far I am impressed with the crisp picture quality and all the viewing options available....internet tv is awesome :)
