Wouldn't want to be without it

Have had this for three years and am soooooooooo happy with it. Can watch what I want without the annoyance of a cable company.

I have had this about a month and am very pleased with the device. I wish I could say I could get rid of cable sigh, but not yet. I have watched so many great movies and a few tv series that I had never seen!

Good, but still a few minor bugs

I like the idea behind Roku, streaming media from channel providers over the internet to my TV. It's cheaper than cable TV. The setup is easy. The interface is intuitive and I like the headphone jack on the remote for quiet listening. However, I have experienced a few freezes in which I had to cycle power or take batteries out of the remote to resolve. The round bottom on the remote makes it easy to lose when set on an arm rest or table. Would be nice if the volume buttons worked when the headphones were unplugged, too. With so many channels and programs to choose from, it can be a bit tedious to find what you want to watch and queue it up to watch. Too bad there is not a master queue or watchlist for all of my channels to make selecting the night's programming easier. Perhaps a built in VPN would capability would also be nice to help keep viewing habits private.

So many choices to watch.

We have used a different brand of viewer for several years, but Roku has so much more to offer than the other brand. There are many more choices of what to watch with Roku, we will never run out of shows and movies to watch. Roku also loads everything much faster than our other brand did. Roku was also much easier to set up than the other brand was.

Not good for youtube

I liked the product, but I use youtube, and Netflix a lot. Youtube is extremely slow, it's impractical so I couldn't use it to watch my favorite app.

Great Alternative to Cable

I have greatly enjoyed having a Roku player and I keep learning about new features and channels that are available. The only thing I wish I could get is local news and weather from the Cleveland Fox News or another local news channel of the like.
