The best I've used

I was using Vizio (I think that's spelled right) for movie streaming. After about 3 months it broke. I went back to the store to purchase another only to discover they no longer carried that brand, but they did have another called Roku. What a difference. Roku is faster and I have not had one problem since I hooked it up, which by the way was so simple to do. Problem free and works like a dream. I am an older movie buff and have enjoyed watching all my favorite movies and tv shows commercial free. Roku is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone.

Goodbye Cable!

I own two Roku players. The variety of programming is stunning. Strong pay per view selection through Netflix and Amazon! I own a second home and have internet/wifi. I said goodbye to cable broadcasts one year ago!

The private listening feature may have saved our marriage! The range of the remote / receiver even allows private listening in the next room.

Good idea but.....

Often when trying to view news, after the commercial after only two headlines, it freezes and sometimes does same during any show. Overall it could make it easier to determine what is or isn't pay per view or subscriber needed shows.

LOVE THE ROKU STREAMING PLAYER

We left cable and satellite because of our continual frustrations with cost, poor customer service and lack of interesting offerings and went to streaming players on our main tvs. The first brand that we purchased was a major name-brand but quit working within six months. We then selected a Roku.we now have a Roku on each of our four tvs-LOVE THE 2 with earplugs!!!!!@

It turns my regular old DUMB TV into a very SMART TV !! And I am not stuck with just my satellite or cable box .. With chanels like Netflix and Hulu plus I can watch anything that strikes my fancy !! Great options guys !! Thankyou .. Darla

Last month I purchased the Roku-2 and have been voraciously enjoying the dynamic programming! Ease of set-up, quality of video stream, a myriad of channels (most of which have no added charge and make this a tremendous entertainment device, bringing quality programming into my home
