Since buying the Roku 2, I have such a seamless streaming experience, full HD is far more vivid than using my bluray and much easier to use.

I purchased the roku 2 for my room, I have used the older version of the roku and it worked just fine. Yet the roku 2 that I purchased is terribly slow, if it even connects to my internet. I love the roku but I think the roku 2 is no better then the original.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my 2nd ROKU box. I may buy another just because they are so great and have one on each TV. There is so much stuff available on it that my sleezy cable company should feel really scared!

Worked great for 6 months

Got Roku 2 as a Christmas gift and it worked great for about 6 months then it started to overheat to the point it was starting to leave marks on the paint of my tv stand. Wasn't even using it and it was overheating just sitting in standby. Kind of a nice paperweight now. Never had this problem with the original Roku.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

There are two things I don't like about RoKU It doesn't streamline all profiles on netflix It doesn't show the next movies in that genre thats available Compared to the xbox ,a pc computer I would rate the ROKU on a scale from 1 to 10 a 10 being the lowest .
