It's a great device to stream online content. Definitely like that it has an amazon video channel unlike my gtv.

Cheaper than the Roku 3 and is still pretty fast. So I think this option you get the best bang for your buck. Good picture too.

Stopped working

I have an older roku which workes great. Still us it as of today5+ years Got this newer one which is much smaller expection it to be even better(fast boot up etc) but after about 4-5 months it quite working. This make me hesitant to buy a second one concerned there could be issues with the design/overheating. Not sure whta the root cuse of the problem is.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this for my son for his birthday. I thought that you could watch regular TV stations off the internet but I was mistaken. Everything on the Roku is also on your game console, computer, laptop, and/or tablet. My kids love it and watch everyday in there room. It's ok...

Purchased Roku 2, my only issue with this box is that it resets after 4 hours of use. I'm still confused as to why this happens. I would have given it a higher rating if I could figure it out but the troubleshooting instructions and online information isn't much help. However, for the most part the box is a nice addition to our TV viewing.

A few loose ends.

I am happy to be able to access certain programs, that are not available otherwise. On the minus side, we seem to lose subtitles, or they freeze on screen, while the video continues to play. Also, the remote control functions freeze at times. Otherwise, it is a very good item, to have..
