We purchased a Roku 3 because we we were looking for an alternative to high priced cable. We don't watch a lot of what cable offers besides local channels. The offerings on Roku are constantly expanding and improving as well. It's perfect for our needs!

The Roku is an innovative product that hopefully will break the grip of the cable and satellite companies. What is a bit frustrating is that it seems the better content on the Roku requires monthly fees. Yes, there is a good deal of free content, but the more desired content is usually fee based. Works really well and is intuitive in design and function. Easy to set up and use. I have mine hard wired from my desktop.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have a chromecast, I was having issues casting from my tablet, I use my phone's hotspot for the internet connection, and had to cast from the tablet to the chromecast.
This little box allows me to take the tablet out of the mix, plus it's a lot more responsive. Love that there are so many channels to choose from, and don't have to have any apps on my phone or tablet to use it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
