Not bad little device. Only one snagoo... remote. Remote drains batteries. Have to replace every three/four weeks. Also, should be an on/off option.

Roku 2 is easy to set up and use, with lots of content available. I use it for Netflix and Amazon content.

great alternative to cable....

I really am happy with the things roku does for entertainment and the fact that I can actually choose what I wish to watch and not what the cable company decides. for the most part, streaming through the Roku, beats using a game console and I have not had alot of issues with its use except for the fact that the remote just up and died, and it wasn't due to batteries or pairing, it just stopped working. Untill i was able to order a replacement, I used the app I downloaded to my smartphone.

Difficult to Register

I had difficulty registering 2 Roku 2s and have not been able to register the third. Roku stopped recogniing my Email address and will no let me register the third.

Beware of movie ratings!

I love my Roku 2 but am confused by its movie ratings feature and I have been noticing severe differences in movie ratings on Roku 2 (my Roku) and Roku 3 (my boyfriend's Roku). Roku 2 often has some crazy movie ratings in my opinion. Especially frustrating are the 3 1/2 to 4 star ratings given to some really lousy movies. You're left wanting that time in your life back if you happen to make the bad judgement call and watch those movies based on Roku 2's ratings. I suggested a movie to watch at my boyfriend's house last night because my Roku 2 noted 4 stars selection on the movie, which was in a genre we liked. Interestingly, my boyfriend's Roku 3 only gave the movie 2 stars; which, on reflection, I believe to be a more believable consensus of viewers opinions. I just don't believe viewers gave this movie 4 stars. I am suspecting that the movie ratings feature on Roku 2 doesn't work properly. In general Roku 3 has a more reliable rating system, which on further study differs from Roku 2 most of the time. Maybe, the ratings on 2 are only taken from 2 users. I just don't understand the discrepancies, but I will need to upgrade to Roku 3 because of those discrepancies. In the meantime, I will have to remember to" Beware of movie ratings!"
