I purchased a Roku 2 for my mom. She only has free TV (antennae) and the Roku not only works perfect but allows her 1000 time more TV choices

Watch just about anything you want anytime you want. I especially like the ear buds for late night watching that mute the t.v.

The biggest problem in that the remote is Bluetooth, but does not have an on/off switch so it chews thru batteries at an amazing rate. Even if battery is not dead you have to take the battery in & out to reset the remote unless you use it everyday. If you do use it daily, then see comment re battery consumption above.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing little player

I love my Roku so far, it's just incredible how you can fit so much content on just a tiny little box like the Roku. The remote is also really easy to use, and the player can literally fit anywhere. Really low power usage. I am gonna keep using our paid cable as I like watching all my channels such as HGTV and Family Channel and all my other channels. Was able to set it up in less than 10 minutes which is awesome.

I bought this product last year in the month of November since I didn't have cable TV at the time and it has worked fine. I get to watch my favorite shows any time. After I subscribed to cable TV I still use it when I want to watch certain movie which my cable provider is not showing and the response time is very fast. I am very please with this product. A great feature that I love is that I can plug my headset to the control remote and can listen to the audio without bothering my wife at night time.

My son recommended the Roku to me a few months ago & I decided to buy it.This has been one of the best investments in a while. It is easy to use and has a good verity of programs & shows to watch. I do wish it had the OWN chanel or the option to subscribe to it & a few other networks.
