I purchased my roku 2 four weeks ago and I very happy. I recommended the device to my sister. Oh, I just saw a television commercial today for the first time advertising the roku streamer.

So far I am happy with the Roku 2 player. My only complaints are the inability to choose " who's watching" from my Netflix account. This is very annoying considering I cant pick from where I left off of watching a shiw from a different device because the Roku only recognizes the default Netflix account. Also while enjoying Iheart Radio once the screen saver kicks in it cuts off the music, this is extremely irritating! Other than those thjngs that were nearly deal breakers for me, I would say the Roku is a solid investment. believe it is a great add on to your cable or satellite TV to provide variety in whats available to watch. However I am not completely convinced that the Roku could replace my current tv service provider.

Ditched the DirecTv

We bought a Roku 2 and canceled our Directv. I love the choices of channels. Also pretty cool I can listen to Pandora with the headphones plugged into the remote. Best investment and money saver for tv/movie options.

Some minor issues

It runs a tad warm. I had to actually return one because it kept overheating and crashing. This one is better, but still runs quite warm. Only crashed once - tho' I don't know why I should have any crashing. Since this is the 2nd one, I'm assuming it's a model issue. It does provide nicer picture and seemingly faster access. I haven't bothered with the earplugs because I don't want to run down the battery in the remote. It seems to want to eat them up - a small issue I'm not happy about, but all in all, since I upgraded from the Roku Lt. I'm pleased. I am very happy with Roku in general and recommend it to anyone who's looking to ditch cable.

This is my 2nd Roku I bought for my bedroom so the kids and grandchildren can enjoy the Roku 3 in the living room. I love the ear buds for private listening. Roku changed my life for the better. I get to pick quality entertainment every time ! What I want what I am interested in and if I change my mind in 10 minutes I can move on to something else !! I will never ever go back to cable or satellite type old repetitive screened services.! Make your one time investment with a router, hdmi cable and then let the money stack up in your bank account every month, year after year instead of giving it away! Plus, Roku keeps adding new channels! I have over 180 channels I picked and they are all FREE! Five of my friends and acquaintances have already switched!you control what you want to watch always not what a cable or satellite company dictates as a choice to you!

Got this as a Christmas present and really enjoy the convenience and ease of use. The remote control works way better than other I have used from streaming.

Roku 2: A Fun Addition to your TV

Received as a gift and couldn't be much happier. We have the bare minimum (basic) cable and supplement additional programing with Roku.
Roku has a wide variety of channels and shows to choose from. I just wish they had more news and sports channels to offer.
I would recommend this to a friend!
