This unit is quite the improvement over the first model that I purchased years ago. Love, love learning new ways to deal with the cutting of the cable.

I bought this a few months ago. It was so easy to install. I am in love with the ability to stream pandora and many other musice channels. I use Netflix. Awesome. I highly recommend purchasing Roku.

I bought this unit 2 months ago and I am very pleased with its operation. The headphone output is a definite plus. The channels available cover most of the things I wanted plus a few programs I didn't know existed and are quite interesting.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Needs some improvements

Received Roku 2 from my son for my birthday. Like most of what it offers, but needs a usb player that plays ALL video formats (like WDTV does). I realize Roku 3 has a usb player, but I don't want to have to buy another model. Should be able to upgrade this one. Also, needs to read my videos on my computer to TV (again, all video formats...AVI please!)

I have had my Roku two for almost a year and found myself never going on my cable . I have now closed my cable acct.and just have my Roku. This has also saved me a ton of money! Love it!

I love my Roku 2 I got it yesterday at Radio Shack. After setup it was fast. Better then my neotv from net gear.

Needs the bugs worked out

Picked this up so that I could watch MLS and some other Roku channels. Found that it had much of what my Sony BluRay player has on it and was very happy until I discovered that the Netflix app is only updated on the Roku3 to use the latest multiple user feature. That was only the first let down.
Pandora stops playing regularly, getting hung up and requiring you to skip to the next song in order to keep listening.
I also don't like the 'Always On' feature and how hot the unit gets.
Audio in Vudu has also crashed out on me before.
It's a great idea and I look forward to Roku possibly making deals with cable networks to air their programming, but as it stands now this unit is plagued with glitches across its host of core services that ruin the overall user experience.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
