Love Roku

I like Roku better than my blue ray, or other medium, when it comes to using Netflix. I have one two differnt TVs and enjoy them very much. I only use them for Netflix.

Lost Netflix, Over heats

I've had it for a while. It worked well at first, but has failed recently. Unable to connect to Netflix, uninformative error messages, no app for Plex. I won't buy it again. I look to Consumer Reports for recommendations.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

low profile, multiple inputs, ease of use....

As a Family we really love the Roku. Its small size and extreme lo profile allowed me to tuck it way back on the stand out of site and off radar for my 2 year old.
In the nearly a year I have owned it it has locked up only once and required a power down/up to recover.
It covers all of the greats netflix/amazon/hulu plus.... and many lesser known pbs/AE/History/BYU Channel and beyond.
its very easy to use and control, especially with the free apps available to turn mobile devices into remote controls. And as far as remotes go, the Roku remote included is the most well designed and durable remote I have ever encountered. I have 8 children and no remote has ever retained its battery cover more than three months but roku has.
One final kudo to roku. It works so well for us that we got rid of cable TV about 2 months after getting it and have never thought about going back.
I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Even works on an old TV!

We got our Roku a couple of months ago at our daughter's suggestion. We love it.
I had no idea that we could get WiFi on our old TV. Netflix seems to suit us just fine,
but I wish I knew how to use some free channels too.

Hours of entertainment

I really like this streaming device. Lots of stuff to watch and kind of neat the way it can be semi-customized to your liking. The picture is of good quality and audio is good too. I tend to think of it as being between Blu-Ray and DVD in terms of quality. I am very concerned that it gets very hot though. Heat and electronics don't mix. I am probably going to install the innards in a larger, fan cooled box since the warranty is only 90 days long anyway. Those 90 days kind of tell me that they might expect this to be "disposable". All in all, no regrets about buying it and might buy another for the bedroom.

I've had a roku for almost 5 years now and bought my parents the newest model as a gift last Christmas. I love my roku, and now my parents do as well! Great streaming player with a pretty simple layout!
