Improved Our Stream Video

We have had our Roku 2 for over a year. It has help to take the load off our router when streaming video. We don't have to reset it as often. We originally got it to help put Netflix on our tv. Set up is super easy. Shopping in the channel store is more easy online than from the device. You can set up your account to flag a code if you select a pay channel by mistake. There are a lot of great Free channels, Crackle , YouTube , Lifetime and A&E. However, some full episodes need a Cable provider code. We would really like to see these providers move away from this format. YouTube is awesome, and you can use your android phone to search the videos and "play on tv".
Husband likes the Earphone jack on the Roku Remote, he can watch tv late at night and not disturb the sleeping family. If you want current tv content it may be worth the extra money for hulu plus or something like that , but we don't need to keep up with current tv. Channels will improve if consumers push for improvements.

I have had my Roku for several months now and am thrilled to have purchased it. It has a great choice of channels and I love the headphone feature that is built into the remote. I recommend Roku to everyone!

I have heard/known about Roku players for a while now having heard them advertised and knowing a couple people who own them, but I was still a bit skeptical about it. I am sorry I waited so long. The only thing that I would consider a slight negative is the amount of time I'm now spending watching shows I've missed in the past, but the positive side of that is that some of them are stellar! In more way than one I didn't know what I was missing!

I bought the Roku 1 and Roku 2 about 2 months ago. While I am happy with both devices, I like the Roku 2 better because of the sturdiness of the remote, positioning of the OK button and the ability to plug headphones into the remote. I do, however, wish it had the capability of selecting "who is watching" while using Netflix. I understand Roku 3 has that capability.
I would recommend this to a friend!
