There is life after cable!

With the Roku 2, I haven't missed cable. I can access virtually any kind of programming whenever I want including weather, local public television, and movies without paying anything extra. Also, the headphone jack in the remote, a brilliant idea, allows me to listen to programming without bothering roommates or neighbors! It's just too easy. Save yourself the cost of a Roku 2 every month and ditch your cable TV provider. It will be well worth the savings!

I have a total of four now - this one is in our lake house in Virginia - - the others are in Georgia. I just love it - the titles and shows available - along with the premium movies - example Amazon Prime is just great.
Much better than cable - or any service

Works well for what I need it to do. There is a noticeable delay due to proc. Speed, and it gets a little hot at times, but that's what I get for being cheap and not going roku3.

Not pleased with the service

I don't know if it is the player or a lousy so called "high speed wifi internet service" from Brighthouse. At night, when I want to watch Netflix, the service stops and loads about every 5 minutes. It took hours to get the thing set up with the Roku staff, who were very patient and helpful. But between Roku and my wireless service, I am not happy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had my Roku for several weeks and am well pleased.with the program offerings and the quality of the image and audio. The device gets quite hot, however, so I have connected it through a power strip and turn it off when not in use.

I bought the Roku 2 a month ago and it meets all expectations and manufacturers claims. In addition, when I inquired about some setup considerations, the operator was very knowledgeable, patient and helpful.
