It works perfectly. I was disappointed in the remote with head phone jack, it fried (herd the sizzle).

Cannot see all Netflix movie choices.

I only use it for Netflix streaming. Very very disappointing you cannot see all the netflix movie choices on a menu of some sort to choose from. You can only see some. Must know a movie title to type it in. Then typing it in is like using dial up. With today's technology it's like going backwards.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We got our Roku a little over a month ago. It took a little getting used to watching TV in a different way. I miss seeing the nightly news, and I watch our local news on my phone or computer. However, we are saving a bundle over cable/satellite, and we certainly don't miss all the commercials. If you're ready to cut the cable or the dish, give Roku a try!

had it less than a month & it stopped working

it was fine until yesterday-now nothing! It is not the remote because the player flashes when button is pushed on the remote so as of today I would not be able to recommend this to a friend

The opportunity to explore movies and programming not otherwise available has been a great decision for my family. We have more control over our content and wide variety of options. The number of available channels is staggering and there is more than we could possibly watch, so everyone has their favorites and we all share in each others' passions for movies, sports, entertainment and educational programming. Bye-bye cable and satellite costs, this is a great deal!
