I got the Roku because my current Blu-ray player wasn't Netflix enabled. I didn't want to spend the money to get a new one when my old was works fine. So I looked into the Roku. It's such a good deal. It has Netflix and a ton of other channels that I discovered. I recommend it for anyone looking for an alternative to cable.

I have had the Roku for less than a year and it's already malfunctioning. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Easy to use and set up

I brought about 3 months ago. Easy to set up and use. Wish they had more stations such as local live news. As well as live Sports....

Unstable

I bought the Roku 2 based on how good and reliable my Roku LT is, and to replace the PS3 that I was using for the same purpose. The Roku 2 device I bought has been unstable in that it hangs up and reboots all of the time. Both devices use the same wireless network so the network connectivity is not the reason. The device will reboot or hang in the middle of viewing something often. I have reverted back to the PS3 because it is more reliable and the playback quality is much better. I love the Roku LT but I WILL be returning the Roku 2.

Very happy with this Roku. Says it has wifi boost but that is the only problem I have with it. All it needs is a little more wifi boost.

tons of channels

I have owned a Roku a few months now and there are so many channels to choose from. There are kids channels, family channels, information channels, science channels, music channels, movie channels, and secret adult channels. No matter what you are into you have a great chance of finding it on a Roku.

Ease of use but problems

My Roko runs hot and finally stops working. I installed a small muffin fan to cool the unit and it works. Probably a heat sink on the bottom would be a better idea.
