I bought this at the beginning of the summer and it's a little slow but works great! Love the features on it and have some free stuff I can watch is great! I can't afford cable so this was the next best thing! Also love how it is compatible with older TVs and HDMI.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Generally works as expected. Occasionally no title will load. Or if load occurs it stops after a few minutes and then takes a few minutes to load before continuing. If you can get a title under these circumstances it will take twice as long to view.

I started using my Roku about 2 weeks ago and I am absolutely loving it. I don't have digital cable so I missed out on lots of movies that were showing on regular television, but now with my Roku I can stream movies from several different sites!! Also my Roku is very user friendly so even I am a whiz at operating it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

At this point I have problems with some of the programs not being able to run well. For example, I began watching a TED talks program by physicist Brian Greene. After a few minutes it paused and reloaded. It did this several more times and then I got a message that it wasn't possible to do this now and I should retry later. I thought maybe my phone service from Verizon was too slow so then I went to my desk top computer and brought up the same TED talks program and it ran all the way through with no problem. I have had several other instances like this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Roku 2, great product!

I purchased the Roku 2 when I was searching for something less expensive than cable. Once I got started I was pleasantly surprised by all the offerings(apps) to choose from. It is very easy to use and there are many choices for entertainment. My family is so satisfied that we will be purchasing additional boxes. We highly recommend Roku!

We bought this to replace our cable tv service. We got the unit that has composite out so that we can use it with our older TV sets. We have been very pleased with the performance and ease of use. The picture quality is great on every device we connect it to.

I bought a Roku on a whim not knowing what to expect. However, I've been very pleased with my purchase. Adding channels is easy and I love the MGo movie rental option.
