A great way to cut the Cable

I bought this and am very happy with the choices I now have available to me. Many options but no live tv with major networks since Aereo. Hoping that option comes back and give consumers the choice and right to cut the cable.

I love my Roku, but it does have its faults.

This is my second Roku. I bought this one to replace using a Smart Blu Ray player for internet based TV. At first it was working very well, but over the past several weeks I have noticed some problems. During some advertisements on Hulu Plus, a loud squelch will play as the sound. We have also noticed that shows and music will start skipping/repeating itself. We have checked the internet, and there doesn't seem to be a problem there. We also checked the other Roku, and yet again no problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've been using my Roku 2 for a over 6 months now. It's great. The only thing I find a little problematic about it is that there is no way to use the new Netflix profiles. It's everywhere else, even on my phone, so it was a bit jarring when I realized that I couldn't use it on my Roku. I like getting suggestions of what to watch based on what my husband and I watch, not on what our kids watch. My only other issue is that the device gets very hot to the touch, even when not in use. I have to unplug it from time to time just to cool it off. A power button would be a great addition that should help fix that issue in future.

Great device for streaming movies.

My previous roku would lose the Wi-Fi connection frequently and the entire content would sometimes not load at one time. The Roku # 2 does not have this problem. The connection has been rock solid and movies are downloaded instantly and in their entirety. This one also has has many more channels to choose from. M-Go movie prices are very competitive with other sources. Also, The availability of Amazon was a big reason I chose the Roku # 2 as I am an Amazon prime subscriber.

I bought 3 Roku boxes for each TV in my home. They were very simple to install and very easy to use. I would recommend this device to anyone who is ready to be free of high cable bills. The selection of movies and TV shows are endless. Very happy customer.
