Roku 2 - Not a bad start. Needs improvements

Originally purchased to access Netflix on a non-HD TV. Ended up ditching cable in the den as we weren't using that TV much.
There is a broad range of channels offered. Having a cable account helps access some content such as ESPN.
The one thing the Roku2 desparately needs is a customizable "favorites" menu. I routinely watch Mike & Mike on ESPN in the mornings while I get ready for the day. Having to select the ESPN channel/app and then locate the live Mike & Mike feed is a pain. There are some NPR and PBS programs that I watch/listen pretty regularly as well. The channels/apps for those involves several layers as well.
There also needs to be a better definition as to which channels will require a payment to access content. In several cases, adding the channel is free, but accessing the content requires a payment. Listing the channel as "free" is a touch misleading.
Given the range of content that is available, some sort of customizable "favorites" menu would be most welcome.

Roku delivers what is promised. Most of the free content is junk. Indie channels use Ruko and other devices to get exposure to their product. Not all the Amazon content is free most is ppv others are a subscription fee with very little good content to choose from. You Tube videos are low quality might just watch them on your computer. If I quit cable and to pay for what my wife watches ala cart with Roku there isn't much of a savings. NFL content is all "look in's" MLB & NBA is available if you subscribe. Subscriptions to all these different providers just makes you more vulnerable to hackers to get your 411. With a cable subscription at least there is only one vendor to be concerned with.

I was getting fed up with paying so much for cable so on a friend's recommendation, who has a Roku 2, I purchased one. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. The Roku is easy to install and there's a vast number of channels to select. Needless to say, I terminated cable and haven't looked back since. Now - for me to be blissfully in love with Roku, we need STARZ channel.

I bought this specifically because it streamed a channel I wanted to get, but after I set it up I found lots of great content in addition. It is simple an easy. I love that it is always on - makes it as easy as changing the channel.

We got this as a Christmas present and I love it! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because sometimes there are long periods of not being able to connect and the search function really stinks.

I absolutely love my roku player, Ive had 0 problems. Why did it take so long to find out this device exisisted? There are nomonthlyfees unless you purchase a movie or special video. All streaming through the home wifi. No extra bills!!!!!!!!!! Dont let the cable guy into your house. Get ROKU!!!!!!!!!!!
