Awsome access to many channels

My husband purchased our Roku for mothers day. I love that I can watch all my korean drama's in my living room instead of on my computer. The only problem I see with it is that sometimes it freezes up and I have to back out of it and restart it again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Probably the best TV Add On Device Available

There is now a lot of the same content options on all of the various add on devices. But because Roku does such a nice job with their interface, keeps everything simple AND has the Time Warner Cable app available for download, it's by far the device that my family uses the most!

I love my Roku, but...

I really do love my Roku. In our household we currently have 3, one very old model, one newer model and the Roku 2. We originally had 2 very old models, but had to retire one of them because it stopped working one day when we restarted it. The middle model is good, no problems. The Roku 2 is great, but the one disappointment was that the remote broke in the second month of use. So we substituted another Roku remote for it, but lost the ability to have the earplugs, etc. One other thing, some of the channel ads or descriptions are misleading and miscategorized. Many of them are listed as "free" when, in fact, there is a free trial of a couple of days or so and then payment/subscriptions kick in. When I see "free," I think it means totally free. I am also disappointed in some of the offerings of the channels. For example, Smithsonian. There are so many short clips -- I want to watch full programs. I realize that most likely the actual programming of the channels is not under Roku's purview, but it is disappointing anyway.

I purchased three at the same time. one Roku 3 for my primary TV and two Roku 2 for other locations. The Roku 3 is so superior that the Roku 2 are a disappointment. If you can go the cost of the 3 it will be well worth it.

We have enjoyed our Roku 2 and all the channels we can now view on demand. We have had it since October 2013. Just lately (last two times of use) it has been non-responsive and we must remove the DC power supply and re-insert it to cause it to work.

Pleasantly surprised at the range of channels ( some very good FREE channels, too). SO easy to install and set-up. #1 option for cutting the cord! I understand streaming has its limits, yet I would love to see less lag/buffering and hang time when I cruise between options. Otherwise, I am a HAPPY ROKU consumer! Will be adding the STICK soon. THANKS!!!!

Nice follow on model

I have two older models and have loved their features for five years. THe earlier models even solved my netflix buffering problems when I used to use my " netflix/ pandora smart " blue ray players. I have no problems with their setup with my homie tvs. As a matter of fact they seem to "remember" things and set up even quicker after the first one. Got this newer one for the remote hookup earpieces. While watching in bed. Just don't like the earbud fit in my ears though, so I'm using my small profile headset and am well pleased. I have three tvs with roku now and my wireless network handles those and my iPads and iPhones with no problem at all. Really like them. The only suggestion I would like to see offered is programmable instant access buttons because they switched the pandora out to another movie channel I don't use.
