This is my second Roku and each one you wonder how in the world they could improve it and then that's exactly what they do! The box is much smaller than my first Roku. Setup is so simple even my kids were amazed at my ability to do it without calling support or catching something on fire. As for the content, it could use improving but seems no different than content provided by similar devices. I think as these things continue to grow in popularity that content will improve. Now to the best part of all, those headphones. They're cheap headphones but perfectly fine for watching TV. Got a spouse who loves complete silence while you really want to watch Breaking Bad episodes? Just plug those earphones in the remote control and war is thankfully averted! Once you plug them up you can control the volume that only YOU can hear. Unplug them and the TV remains at the volume it was before you plugged the headphones in. For me the headphone feature is worth the price of this thing by a long shot. I should also mention that the Roku app for your phone is a handy thing as well and besides functioning as a second remote control it allows you to stream content from your phone directly to your TV. Let's see you try THAT with your cable box!

It's pretty much everything you hope for. It's easy to use, not too expensive and works well. My only slight complaints is it has frozen up a couple times (it's been pretty hot every time). Also inputting text is tough. It'd be nice if there were a little keypad or something. Overall though its a great buy and I would definitely recommend it.

This will do for technophobes, just like AOL was for the internet in the early days. If you can hook up your desktop/laptop to your TV, no need Roku.

I like Roku for accessing Netflix, ESPN, and Hulu.com, but there are too many channels that you have to pay for, so not sure if I will get rid of cable yet.

African in live has only 2 or 3 channels for subscription; why not more :like central Africa(Congo drc) and more in French language

We purchased the Roku 2 about a year ago... On the advise of our son. It has been an unexpected asset to our entertainment platform... Between net flick, the smithsonian and TED I now have options that I could not have imagined... It has been an excellent addition to our home.
