An Ok streaming box

The remote burns through batteries fairly quick & the unit randomly reboots itself. Not much improvement from the original Roku box. I wish the unit had an on/off function so we didn't have to unplug the power cord to shut it down. When this unit goes out I'll probably get an Amazon box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this 2 months ago and it is overheating. Gives me a internal error screen. I have to unplug it and let it cool down in order to use it.

Nice alternative to cable

the Roku works, but gets very hot. Hot enough that it has to be unplugged to cool off. I'm thinking it is cooking itself and will need to be replaced soon. I can get about 3 hours out of it before it starts acting wonky.
However, I'm impressed at how many channels there are. Many I have never heard of and have no connection to. (For example the "Wealth Channel.")
The process of discovery is endless and rewarding
I would recommend this to a friend!

We've had this for awhile now and regularly use netflix, huluplus, plex, amazon prime and pbs kids. No streaming problems like our dvd player had when trying to run the same apps. I also love the ability to use headphones at night so i don't disturb my family.

My son bought us a Roku last Christmas. Best gift we received...no doubt. We can now watch Netflix movies on our big screen TV. Told our another son about it abd he bought one too. Great product at a low cost!
