I love that my Roku 2 can be used with both HDMI and RCA jacks. It makes the machine more versatile, and thus more useful! I love the channel options, and am really happy with the recent update adding youtube; although, it would be nice if more videos were available through the youtube channel, and maybe we could get a google option? I'm also happy that I don't need cable now. Commercials out of the way (mostly), I can get through my favorite shows, and not have to wait until next week. In all, I am very satisfied with my experience.

I bought this Roku 2 unit for myself at Christmas last year, and am so happy I did. What a great way to determine my own tv programming based on me and MY preferences.

I've come to rely on my RoKu player daily. It's a great idea but should be made more user friendly when used in conjunction with the TV. Also the remote should be updated to include a shortcut to Hulu, volume control, timer and on/off.

Poor reception

I bought this a month ago to replace an older unit, but I wish I had not. The unit would not maintain lock with my wireless router even though the older unit worked fine. I am continuing to use the older system--I have relegated the new Roku to a small bedroom TV very close to my router (<20 foot). I would return it but I lost the receipt. I thought the newer technology would be more sensitive, not less!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not sure why yupptv app does not appear on Roku so i had to return it back. So there is no much use of it. Also it is only good if your TV is not a SMART TV
