I asked for one for Christmas and my son got it for me. I had been using my bluRay player before and this little remote with the Roku 2 makes it much easier to switch between channels and pause, etc.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Problems with Roku2

I have had the basic Roku for a couple of years and it is great. So decided to get two (2) more for other TVs in the house and thought I would upgrade to the Roku2 - thinking the headphone jack was a neat feature. Well about five (5) months in (so after the 90 day warranty period) both these units have the same problems: the remotes have stopped working (iphone remote app was our work around) then the units become unresponsive if left plugged in, so we have to unplug the units and only plug in when you want to use them. The original Roku unit is still working fine, never any problems! A case of less is more - and the 90 day warranty is pretty poor, not even a one (1) year warranty does not show great faith in your product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great having a lightweight device I can take with me when I travel. Much nicer than relying solely on my computer or even small screen phone/tablet.

Hi...we have owned Roku before but the new one we bought a few months ago has many great features. What can I say we just love this product. We do not and will not own cable. With the Roku we get so many options for TV viewing. Great!!
