This is my second Roku. I have lost the pairing with the remote at least 3 times in the 4 or 5 months I've had it. Frankly, I like the OK button location in the center of the direction quad as on my original Roku much better than the under location on the 2 remote. I wish I had bought another Roku1 instead. That one hasn't given me a lick of trouble in over a year and a half. Overall, if the 2 was the only one I ever owned I probably would be satisfied even with it's quirks.

goes beyond cable tv

Roku opens up programming that you do not see on cable. I found so many channels of interest and before you know it others are added . I found a channel that teaches other languages and news around the world . Something for everyone . The Roku was easy to set up and has given me no trouble at all

Easy to set up, use, navigate. Not a tech person, so was intimidated by a new device. But this was so easy, I did it all by my 43 yr old self without the assistance of a 17 year old!

Cables BIGGEST threat

The Roku was so easy to plug in and get started. It was so small I worried that I did not have all the parts I needed! I absolutely love the remote earphone audio volume control. The remote is simple, intuitive and feels good in the hands

I purchased the Roku 2 about a month ago and it has been a complete pleasure.
We mainly use it for Netflix and it allows us to go back and watch movies and TV series from season 1 to current season.

I've probably had it for maybe 6 months and wouldn't be without it. Small footprint, and handy to have the volume control for the earphones right in the remote! I can change volume as needed without disturbing my wife!
Only negative is that it seems to get a bit warm, but never too hot to touch!
I would recommend this to a friend!
