I'm not happy with the fact you cannot LIVE NEWS OR TV. Or anything Live for free. Movies are old and they don't keep up with the latest for free. Everything that is Good costs or you need a paid subscription.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wonderful system to own

My favorite tv channel (PBS) now has streaming and my Roku 2 brings it right into my home. SO easy to use with never an interruption problem.

Love My Roku

I bought a Roku a couple of years ago and this past Christmas we bought a Roku 2 and are so happy that we did. We love the fact that we cut our cable off and still have a way to watch everything that we always watch. I tell everyone that I talk to about my Roku and how great it is.

Hey, this thing does everything it claims to do and clearly. It is easy to install, is small as to fit just about anywhere, and boots up quickly. I only wish I could get standard cable network channels on it.

Purchased as a way to stream videos from my computer to the tv. Does a good job of it, but wish it would play a wider variety of formats.

I am happy with the Roku player I have had for several months now. The only feature I find missing is a power button. Unit gets hot and sometimes shuts down.
