A little hot to the touch.

I bought 2 Roku 2's. They worked well, but one of them became intermittent. I checked it and found that it was too hot to hold in my hand. The other has been fine. I sent it back and am getting a replacement.

I like the Roku 2 because it has head phones so I can listen to my tv or computer without disturbing anyone.

Love it, but the remote stinks!!

I love this player, it took the place of the Wii that we were using to stream Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Instant Video. I love all the channels that you can get- but the remote that came with it never works correctly. I constantly have to take the batteries in and out to get it to work. The biggest pain in the butt. The replacement cost for another remote is quite pricy in my opinion.

Superior alternative to cable television

I've had my Roku 2 since the beginning of 2014 and I've thoroughly enjoyed it as a superior alternative to cable television. There are loads of free channels available in addition to the paid channels. Roku gives me the freedom to decide what I want to watch based on my interests instead of settling for the mediocre selection dictated by the cable company. I'm seriously considering cancelling my cable subscription.

So so...I bought this device and after a couple months the device now disconnects within the first 5 minutes or so. I have other devices that can do the same thing (dvd player) and so far that has never happened.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this so I could stream vudu and flixster in my living room. It gets the job done. However when you try to watch television series on flixster they will not play due to the roku player not supporting the files. There are a few other movies in my vudu library that does not show up on the roku device but will appear on other devices. But overall it allows me to watch most of my vudu movies.
