My kids got me Roku 2 for Christmas. I am so impressed with it. I was able to cut my satellite bill by $48 and when my current contract is up I will cancel satellite and/or cable completely. And, it was totally idiot-proof to set up. It took me no time at all. My kids thank you Roku! I do subscribe to a TV/movie system which costs as much per year as cable does for a month.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Although it can take a bit of searching to sometimes find something to watch, it is well worth it. I'll never go back to satellite or cable TV.

Why did I wait so long?
I used to subscribe to a local cable company which was bought out by a larger company and then finally the largest corporation charter communications took over. They started with promotions that were very fairly priced and then slowly started raising prices until I found myself in a situation where I was facing a 50% increase in my monthly cable bill. I had heard about Roku and was very interested. I am very pleased with what I get for the amount of money I pay monthly for Netflix Amazon and Hulu it's a fraction of what cable would cost. There are also a lot of free programs to view using the Roku. And best of all it's just about commercial free!

Super easy, convenient, works

We don't watch a lot of channels, or we would have purchased the ROKU 3. We replaced a Chromecast unit with the ROKU 2, and we LOVE the new unit. It is small, unobtrusive, and always works. The small remote is easy to understand and use, and has very useful buttons and features.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got a roku for Christmas last year and I love it! It was so easy to setup and so easy to use. The roku has so many channels to download (not just movie apps). I would totally recommend this to anyone that has a tv. If you are thinking about getting rid of your cable and get a roku, you totally should. I would be fine if I got rid of cable. I have basically all I can watch with all these channels. You should totally buy a roku!

Easy to set up, easy to use, easy to enjoy

I bought this unit so my kids wouldn't have to deal with the horrible Comcast cable box interface anymore. It took less than 10 minutes to set up and has worked wonderfully ever since.
My whole family likes the variety of channels available on Roku.
