Privite listening great idea, but..

I sprung for the extra money because I wanted the earphone feature, but after only a few uses the phonejack came loose and disappeared into the remote.
Otherwise the unit works fine.
If you're looking for a unit with an earphone feature, keep looking.

Roku - Ease of Use

This Roku 3 is my second Roku. I also have the Roku 3500R on my main television. I bought the Roku 3 for the bedroom mainly because of the earphones so that my wife or I can listen while the other is sleeping. Both Rokus were easy to setup with my wireless network and have worked almost flawlessly since installed. I like the choice of free and pay channels and the ease of operation of the unit. Any problems I have had were due to the limitations of my televisions (not enough HDMI inputs) and not the Roku. Because of all the selections, I am seriously considering dropping cable television.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent Product

I bought this unit as a second unit for our bedroom and I think it is leaps and bounds above my original XD model. the interface and controls are much more user friendly. Excellent product and price point

I purchased a Roku 2 several months ago and must admit I have used the product only three or four times since. Problems include too many commercials when watching programs and volume control on television is difficult. It is not yet a product that can replace cable or satellite tv. Hope the future brings about a higher level product.
