LOVE MY ROKU

Been using ROKU since they started. I have a "smart" TV with streaming abilities, but I use the ROKU-2 instead.

Better than a Second Cable Box

I have a Roku 1 in my little girls room and bought this one for the bed room. My wife was a little skeptical at first but quickly fell in love with the features, channels and more. If you need a second cable box and have a dual band router with a broadband connection, this is a better option. With its popularity expect more channels to be offered in the future as well.

Great Value, Access to all the content I want

This device supports all the apps I want (hulu, vudu, netflix, plex) for a great price. The interface is simple, but a touch on the slow side, and does not have a lot of the bells and whistles I was used when browsing for shows and movies, but it works well and streams well. Highly recommend this Roku device. Oh, and being able to listen to shows via the headphone jack is genius.

I bought the roku for hulu and Netflix. Am thoroughly disappointed with both. Not the roku's fault but as a result I very rarely use the roku.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Good, but...

All in all it's pretty great with the exception of the headphones which seem to work for a few minutes before freezing the remote controls & then sucking the battery power supply dry.

I do like my Roku 2 the majority of the time, but on occasion it does glitch and I have to completely reset it. This happens on average about 1 or 3 times a month but not often enough to make me not like it. I do recommend the Roku 2.
