The Roku 2 does exactly what it says it does. If you have a friend/family member with paid television service you can get all kinds of channels. Otherwise you must pay for most services (Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus, Netflix, Redbox, etc...) It streams movies in HD all day with no issues. I would buy another if I could use it, but I only need one for my Insignia TV.

Previously, I purchased the Roku 1 streaming player, and my wife and I loved the options and programs we were able to supplement to our cable options. One day, I decided to purchase another one in order to have each in the rooms we watched television, and to fully take advantage of the higher definition the Roku 2 offered. With the option of curing my insomnia with the privacy earphones, this was another wise purchase. Thank you!

I upgrades to a new version a few months back and gave my first Roku to a friend and she is now enjoying the same shows and programs on her TV. I have not watched cable TV in a couple years and love my Roku. Best product with a reasonable prices and the free television and old moves are perfect for me.

Very disapointed

Unit locks up. Remote needs buttons pressed several time to complete a task. Battery life is very poor this thing eats batteries. I'm very disappointed. I've lost faith in Roku.
