This replaced a older Roku. I am very happy with this player.

Works great, but not as an internet brower

It does all it says and without trouble, but it does not allow you to surf the internet which would be a very convenient feature to have. There are workarounds, but this could have been a no brainer to build into the product.

Considered the Roku 3 but settled for the 2. Mt friend's Roku 3 is much more responsive, and probably a better choice for most. The Roku 2 looks the same except the response time and tests my patience. Once locked on a video however, it appears to work as well as the 3. Online channels like HGTV, Discovery, and AMC disappointingly missing.

This Roku was certainly a great purchase. The only thing I dislike about it is the terrible input lag with the Youtube App and almost makes it unusable.

I've almost had this Roku 2 for a year, it's the third one for my house. Yes, all three are used almost daily. The Roku always works, no freezing or quality issues. I use this one on WiFi and it's simple and amazing! My four year old has been navigating the NetFlix interface on Roku for well over a year. Great hardware and great channels, I love Roku!

My third Roku device, this one for an invalid mother who shies away from tech. Installed it in her house and it is effortless for her to control and use. She is confined to a wheelchair and as a result spends a lot of time watching television. She's grown tired of the repeats and commercials. Once I got things set up and going for her (including several hundred movies I'd put on an external HD, attached to her pc and installed PLEX) she was thrilled. With minimal instruction she had things figured out and soon had several shows lined up. She couldn't be happier.
