Easy to use

I bought this for my granddaughters room for when they visit but I put it in the den to check it out and it s still in the den! I love it! It is so nice to be able to just click on Netflix or Amazon and countless other channels and watch a movie with ease! My granddaughters love it too! They stayed with me this summer and we watched it more than regular tv! Now I just need to get one for their room! It's so easy to use my 5 year old granddaughter operates it. She loves using the headphones with it when she is the only one watching it.

Connects to my NetFlix, my Hulu, love the YouTube and the Pandora apps, and well, it seems like more and more apps keep getting added every month! Love it. Buy one!

Over heated

My Roku over heated and the only way I could use it was to on plug the Roku. After an hour or so, it would work again.

Wish it would go in to buffering mode as often as it does...( no it is NOT the internet connection) ..the unit runs real hot....

Good but tedious interface

I really like the accessibility this device provides. We have the ability to choose from great movie channels etc. However, typing in is a huge pain. I hope later versions will have a more up to date, easy to use interface.

I bought this Roku approximately 2 months ago in order to get Netflix. I love it! I have since subscribed to Hulu. Netflix gives me the older shows (we just finished the entire series of Dexter), while Hulu gives me the newer shows (Masterchef, Chasing Life, The Goldbergs). I wish I had known to do this years ago. It's SO easy to set up and SO easy to use. I think the price is just right too. I bought the Roku 2, but it has more than I need. But, for the small price difference between it and the Roku 1, I'm very happy with it. And, in that regard, am considering giving up my cable service in lieu of the Roku because of everything I can get on it for the small subscription prices compared to paying for cable monthly. I'm still testing this out tho, because there are still some shows I would have to pay for individually or through additional subscription sights to get. Bottom line, tho -- very good value!

Having problems with it when it goes into apps. Have to go out and come back in app to get it to work.

I bought this item March 19, 2004 and I have been extremely pleased. I have no cable or satellite and this device has saved sooo much money!!
