I bought a Roku 2 about6 months ago, and it has worked just as well as the company said it would I am very satisfied.

Nice, but unstable

When it works, it's great and I love it. The wireless headphone feature has been useful a few times. It's snappy and does almost everything I need it to (better Airplay support would make it outstanding). But I experience frequent instability with some channels, especially MLB.TV. All of a sudden the picture will freeze, but the sound will keep going. It will stay like this until you hit a button, then it reboots (very slowly). I also have issues where the music streaming channels, especially Spotify, just stop playing. You need to go back to the home screen and restart it to get it going again. Annoying. This has been going on almost the entire time I've had it. I don't have that many channels and I've already tried a factory reset. I can only chalk it up to bad firmware at this point. I've had pretty much zero issues with my Roku HD. Definitely disappointed with the Roku 2. Hopefully they'll fix it at some point, but I'm not optimistic.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great streamer

I have had this for a while now and it is MUCH faster than my old RCA streaming device. My only complaint is the Netflix app doesn't seem to have all the choices that the website or even my Samsung TV app has. It looks to be in need of updating.

we bought our second roku in 2 years because the first stopped working. now our second has to be unplugged every night as it gets very hot to touch and stops working. when its working, its fine but frustrating at the in between times. if this one stops working. we may not buy another.

Love the Movie Vault for all the old classic movies (1930s, 1940s, etc.) Also the Spirit Hallmark Channel is wonderful. Probably will eventually get a more popular movie channel as well. The Blaze News is available on Roku as well which is excellent. Tried the Innovative Spanish channel but so far I'm not very happy with it because all the segments are very short and I can't just turn it on to learn Spanish without having to keep having to start another short. Too much of a hassle. All in all though, I'm enjoying it greatly.

Roku is Great

I was given my Roku for Christmas by a family member as a way to use our existing internet to see some television shows/movies, etc. When it works (95% of the time) it's the BEST thing ever. Occasionally reboots or hangs. Annoying but it eventually comes around.
